The Tracey Rubinoff Foundation

Tracey Rubinoff was and remains an inspiration and hero to all who knew her.
.
Tracey became an insulin-dependent type 1 diabetic at the age of 10. Although insulin had been discovered many years before that, it was unfortunately not a cure.
.
Throughout her life, Tracey battled the complications of her disease with extraordinary strength, determination and courage. Her illness did not stop her from fulfilling the roles that were so dear to her…wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She never used her illness as an excuse. She never stopped smiling and she never stopped living.
.
Tracey's family and friends are determined to continue her legacy and to promote awareness of this ravaging disease. The Tracey Rubinoff Foundation was established to support initiatives that will assist the well-being of adolescents living with diabetes. To date we have raised over $750,000 for these initiatives including over $250,000 that we have raised to date specifically for the Tracey Rubinoff Paediatric Diabetes Clinic (see below)..
This year, in addition to other existing initiatives, we have agreed to raise funds in association with the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation to assist in the construction of the Tracey Rubinoff Paediatric Diabetes Clinic at Markham Stouffville Hospital. More information about this initiative can be found at the "Expenditure of Funds" link.
We hope you will participate in this worthy cause by supporting the Tracey Rubinoff Foundation.
